Norm has been apart of emagine’s Digital Marketing team for over 2 years and has shared some extremely insightful blog posts in the past. Before we begin, let’s hear what his boss had to say about him:

“The Digital Marketing Department here at emagine could not function to the high standard that it does without Norm. Norm oversee’s the support component of the Department. He handles not only the scheduling of all Digital Marketing tasks, but completes many of them as well. An SEO expert, the target keyword strategies that many of our clients adopt are chosen by him. His attention to detail is unparalleled and his dedication to perfection is second to none. He’s also hilarious. Norm’s the best- and I’m thrilled that he is on my Team. ” – Alicia Hale, emagine’s VP of Digital Marketing

You may remember Norm from his extremely insightful blog posts. Now, let’s get to know him on a more personal level.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Filthy Stink’n Rich! But first one needs to grow up!

In your own words, what is your job description?

What’s my character limit? 😉 I help drive organic traffic to our clients’ websites by determining the most relevant terms people are searching for in relation to their products and services and setting strategies to coincide with those terms. I optimize clients’ content; find and troubleshoot issues relating to client sites and SEO. I also manage the Digital Marketing tasks making sure we stay on schedule.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?

Every day is different. There is always a new problem to solve and something new to learn. Of course, this could just be my short-term memory loss. So to answer your question, every day is different. There is always a new problem to solve and something new to learn. Did I already say that?

Favorite project/event you’ve worked on? Why?

I don’t like to play favorites as each project presents its own unique challenges and gratifications.

What advice do you have for someone looking to pursue a career in your industry?

Read everything you can, disregard half of it and do your own research and testing.

When you’re not working, what are you most likely doing?

Grilling and Chilling! I also like to read, write and game.

Do you have any “hidden talents”?

I don’t think I have any “hidden” talents; I pretty much put everything out there.
