In the pharmaceutical industry, a pharma pipeline is frequently used when describing and evaluating a company’s activities, R&D progress and overall potential for success and growth. The word “pipeline” generally refers to a visual representation of a set of drugs (and/or processes) as well as their current status within predefined clinical trial stages. Drugs that have entered into clinical trials and are pending approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are said to be “in the pipeline”. Essentially, each stage, or phase, is designed to answer a separate research question, and these drugs must pass through all phases before being approved for sale and/or public use.

For investors, knowing what drugs a company is working on and at what phase they are at can help them determine whether or not they would be making a solid investment. Consequently, as phases change, it’s critical that companies quickly reflect these updates on their websites. However, we often find that pipelines are implemented as static images which means that they must be redrafted by graphic designers and uploaded every time these changes occur.

At emagine, we have designed and developed numerous interactive, customizable and dynamic methods that allow pharmaceutical website administrators to make these changes as quickly and effortlessly as possible.
